William Peter Stephens’ last work concerns itself with the life and work of Heinrich Bullinger
W.P. Stephens’ last work before his untimely death was a volume on the theology of Heinrich Bullinger: Ulrich Zwingli’s (1484–1531) successor as Antistes or chief minister of the Grossmunster in Zurich, In the light of Bullinger’s function as developer of the theology and church practice in Zurich, there has yet to be performed more research on him in English, which is exactly where Stephens work gets involved. Not only does Stephens offer references to works of Bullinger which have rarely been referred to due to the language barrier; he also offers a bibliography and a schedular overview of used titles.
